As the Maha Kumbh Mela unfolds with great fervor, it is drawing seers, spiritual leaders, and devotees from across the globe, all coming together to partake in this once-in-a-lifetime event. Among the notable figures is Yogmata Keiko Aikawa, a renowned Japanese spiritual leader, known for her extraordinary spiritual feats. She has previously performed underground Samadhi during past Kumbh Melas, meditating for four days without food or water.
Yogmata Keiko Aikawa holds the distinction of being the only foreign woman Mahamandaleshwar, a title she earned after spending years in deep meditation in the Himalayas. Her spiritual contributions have earned her praise from Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who has acknowledged her dedication on several occasions.
Speaking to ANI about her experience at the Kumbh, Yogmata Aikawa expressed her excitement, stating, “I feel very excited. I bless everyone.”
A Sadhvi from Kazakhstan, who has lived in India for the past decade, also shared her reflections on the holy event. “This is a great and holy place. Everyone should visit the Maha Kumbh Mela. I have been here before and will definitely return again,” she said. Her son, attending the Kumbh for the first time, added, “I really liked it. It was an amazing experience. I came here to honor Mother River Ganga and will definitely come back.”
A procession led by foreign seers and devotees was seen in the Mela, further emphasizing the international nature of the gathering.
Sadhvi Bhagwati Saraswati, another prominent spiritual leader, encouraged people worldwide to visit the Maha Kumbh 2025, stating that anyone can experience the grandeur of the event by simply bringing their faith and devotion. She also described the experience of taking a holy dip in the Sangam ghat as a journey into one’s own inner self, calling it a deeply spiritual act.
As of Tuesday, around 20 million devotees had already taken part in the first ‘Amrit Snan’ at the Sangam, according to Amrit Abhijat, Uttar Pradesh’s Principal Secretary for Urban Development.
The ongoing Maha Kumbh Mela continues to bring together millions of pilgrims from India and around the world, celebrating faith, spirituality, and the timeless cultural heritage of India.
